Lori Grice celebrates over two decades in business as founder of Lori Grice Fine Art and Photography. She holds a BBA in Marketing from Georgia Southern University. In 2002, Georgia Trend Magazine and the Savannah Business Journal featured Grice as one of Georgia’s, and the Coastal Empire’s, most successful young business people in their “Forty under Forty” feature. In 2004 Grice received a gubernatorial appointment to the Georgia Children’s Trust Fund Commission. Also in 2004, Grice earned the prestigious Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Grice is only the ninth woman in Georgia to receive her Masters, which is one of the highest honors awarded by the PPA.

In addition, she was the 19th photographer in Georgia to be inducted into the American Society of Photographers. ASP is a “Who’s Who” society of professional photographic artists who aspire to maintain the highest level of excellence by adhering to ethical standards, stimulating creativity, and continually refining technical competence. In 2005 and 2009, Grice was named International Photographer of the Year by the PPA, 2006, Grice received her Photographic Craftsman degree from PPA and the Georgia Professional Photographers named her Georgia’s Photographer of the Year for 2007-2008.  In 2011, Grice was honored with the Deen Day Smith Service to Mankind award for her continued commitment to philanthropic causes in her community.  In 2012, Grice was selected by the United Nations Foundation as one of 45 champions to help promote the launch of the Shot@Life.org campaign.  This campaign brings awareness to the value of immunization of children throughout the world.  Lori is a substainer of the Savannah Junior League and an active member of the Statesboro Service League.

Grice’s clients share an impeccable taste for fine portrait art. She has earned the reputation as “the portrait artist for the South’s leading families and executives.” Her client list includes many of the South’s most prestigious families, including world-renowned evangelist Dr. Michael Guido, Best-selling Author and Motivational Speaker Dr. John Maxwell, and TLC’s Trading Spaces designer Laurie Smith. First Lady Laura Bush commissioned Lori as the only photographer to design an ornament for the Blue Room Christmas tree honoring their last Christmas in the White House.  Her work continues to be published in major publications throughout the South.

As a cervical cancer survivor, she has become an outspoken advocate for early detection through PAPs and HPV vaccination. Grice is a Christian who attends Believer’s Church of Statesboro. She is joined in business and marriage with her husband of 24 years, DeWayne and they are the proud parents of a beautiful, terrific daughter, Edie Grace. Edie Grace is a 5th grader at Bulloch Academy.  Her work can be viewed at her primary gallery and studio in Downtown Statesboro or online.

Lori is commissioned often to create portraits for families in Savannah, Georgia, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Sea Island, Georgia, Jekyll Island, Georgia and St. Simons Island, Georgia.
