Sometimes there are sessions that are just special…
This was one of them.
Growing up, Drew’s Dad was my neighbor. {Of course, out in the country that is relative.}
Drew’s Mom was in my brother’s class and her Dad was my Pastor.  Dr. Perry performed our wedding, dedicated Edie Grace and was by my side during Cancer surgeries.
So, honestly, special is an understatement.

I feel so honored that they drove all the way from Atlanta to have me create these images for them. 
So many times during the session Drew would give me looks that made me freeze….he would look JUST like his Dad did when we were growing up.

They have been through so much as a family…
Now it is time to celebrate!
Drew, you are destined for great things….NO DOUBT!
You are an amazing guy with amazing talent.

Enjoy the video below recapping Cecile’s senior year in portraits.  Cecile is beautiful and SMART!  She was voted “Most Intellectual” by her class – so I guess it is no surprise she is Pinewood’s Valedictorian.  Cecile is witty and fun and we had fun exploring all of her personalities through her senior portrait session.  I really enjoyed getting to know and work with Cecile.  Thank you, Cecile for choosing me as your senior portrait artist.  The last two images are her actual graduation invitation.  Best wishes to you Cecile!  I will continue to watch for wonderful and great things from you!

Enjoy the video below recapping Anna’s senior year in portraits. Anna was the third in the group we photographed in three cities over two days. We had a blast with them. They are all so different – but share so many commonalities. Anna spends her summers as a camp counselor and travels extensively with other organizations she is involved with. Just after the shoot she traveled to London – so the London phone booth will help her remember her last summer in high school. There isn’t much at Pinewood that Anna is not involved with. She excels in cheerleading and academics. Anna has been accepted into a special program for nursing students at Georgia College in Milledgeville. There is no one kinder or sweeter than Anna. She is always looking out for everyone else. The last two images are Anna’s actual graduation invitation.  I have enjoyed getting to know Anna and I am thrilled she chose me as her Senior Portrait Artist. Anna I know great things are in store for you. Keep smiling!

Enjoy the video below recapping Payton’s senior year in portraits. Payton was part of a trio of girls that were the three that launched our year of Senior Portraits. We had a blast photographing them in three cities over two full days. Payton as you can see is a very beautiful girl. She has a wonderful, caring personality who can click with any crowd. Her mom and DeWayne graduated from Pinewood together so that made it even more special for us. Payton is moving with her family to Florida and will attend a University there. She is going to rock – whatever career she chooses. Below is her graduation invitation – which is as unique as Payton is. Enjoy the video below recapping Ally’s senior year in portraits.  I have enjoyed getting to know and work with Ally over the past year on her Senior Portraits.  Ally was a Frill’s girl and loves pageants and proms as you can see from all of her beautiful dresses.  She is tremendously creative and wonderfully caring.  If you really want to see Ally light up – ask her about Petey.  Ally is a recipient of the John & Betty Pope Fellowship from the Rosalynn Carter Institute of Care giving at Georgia Southwestern University.  As part of this fellowship Ally will get to meet with First Lady Rosalynn Carter on a monthly basis.  I had the opportunity to introduce Ally to Mrs. Carter a few weeks ago in Atlanta.  It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget.   The last three images are from Ally’s graduation invitation.  I know wonderful things are in store for you Ally.  Enjoy the Journey!  

Below is a video of Layne’s Senior year in portraits.  I have had the pleasure of photographing Layne, her siblings and family most of their lives.  In addition to being a beautiful girl, layne is very musically inclined.  I have enjoyed working with Layne this year and am honored that she chose me as her senior portrait artist.  Enjoy a few of my favorite images from Layne’s session.

Below is a video of Maggie’s amazing senior year.  Next to Edie Grace, Maggie is probably my most photographed subject.  I have been photographing her since she was a little girl.  In 2000, she became the cover girl for our marketing material promoting our full launch of hand painted oil portraits.  Maggie’s life sized oil remains one of my favorites and a sample of it hangs in my studio still.  It is always fun to watch children grow – but it is even more fun to watch them grow through the lens of my camera.  Without embarrassing Maggie to terribly bad I will only share a few of those early images which she featured in her senior page of her yearbook.  I am also including Maggie’s phenomenal graduation invitation and thank you note here.   Maggie is a very special young lady who continues to brighten my life in so many wonderful ways.  Maggie will stay close by, as she has chosen Georgia Southern to continue her education.  I know she will master whatever she tackles and we will continue to see wonderful things from her.

Over the next few weeks we will be celebrating the class of 2012 Seniors who selected me as their Senior Portrait artist. There are few portraits as important as your senior portraits.
